About Me

I grew up in Chicago going to private Polish schools until my parents moved to the suburbs where I graduated from Jacobs High School.

After graduating from high school, I attended Purdue University. I got my bachelor's degree in Honors Chemistry and worked for Purdue in a research lab for a year and a half.

During that time, I realized that lab work was not for me and decided to go back to school for my true passion: teaching. I enrolled the next year and received my second bachelor's degree, Chemical Education.

My passions include teaching and learning the following:

  • EdTech (technology integrated into the classroom)
  • Physics (classical mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, special and general relativity theory, and quantum mechanics)
  • Mathematics (algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus)
  • Chemistry (general, organic, inorganic, physical, analytical)
  • Computer Science (data processing, game development, encryption)

Favorite Quotes:

  • "When students know why they are doing something, they do better at it."
  • "Foolish leaders believe pointing out what went wrong inspires people to do better. You can’t condemn and inspire at the same time."

BS in Honors Chemistry - Purdue University - 5/2004

BS in Chemical Education - Purdue University - 5/2005

MA in Educational Leadership - Concordia University - 8/2007

MA in Mathematics - Aurora University - 6/2011

Doctorate of Education in Learning Design & Leadership - University of Illinois-Urbana, Champaign - 2020

I graduated from Purdue University in May 2005. While there, I received two bachelor's degrees. One in Honors Chemistry and the other was Secondary Education with an endorsement in science.

In 2007, I received my Master's in Educational Leadership from Concordia University-Chicago as well as my Type 75 Certification in Leadership and Administration.

In 2011, I received my Master's in Mathematics from Aurora University.

In 2012, I started a minor in Environmental Studies at Goodwin College in East Hartford, CT. Unfortunately, due to the fact that I moved back to IL (June 2013), I will not be able to finish this degree at the moment.

I take pride in being a lifelong learner. Since pre-school, I have never not been in school.
