National Math Honor Society
Objective
To promote scholarship in mathematics and establishing math as an integral part of high school
Application Requirements
Senior year student
Currently enrolled or completed Calculus 1 (AP or non-AP)
Maintained a 4.0 overall GPA
Maintained a 4.0 weighted Math GPA
Completion of at least one honors math course
Initiation fee of $20 (one-time fee; non-refundable)
Member Requirements
Attend at least 6 out of 8 chapter meetings
Complete at least 10 hours of service
Attend at least 5 board-approved events

Competing in Math Team competitions
Tutoring (Final Exam, Elementary School, Late Start)

NMHS Executive Board
President
Chairs all meetings
Acts as spokesperson for NMHS at school-related events which involve NMHS
Sets executive board meeting times with the advisors
Assumes all duties and responsibilities that may occur during the year
Vice-President
Chairs meetings in president’s absence
Sets agenda for all meetings with the president
Chairs and directs all committees within NMHS
Secretary
Acts as official recorder for all information regarding NMHS (attendance, completion of math problems, etc.)
Emails summary of NMHS meeting to members
In charge of logistics with events
Publicist
Keeps members informed of programs, speakers, events, etc. using Google Classroom and Remind
Organizes yearbook picture
Makes certain that fliers and banners are posted and that announcements concerning events are made in a timely fashion
Treasurer
Is responsible for all financial dealings with NMHS
Records all financial transactions, collects membership dues
Keeps track of dues paid by members
